I went out to take some street photos on Saturday and came across a group (San Diego Union-Tribune reported 7,000 people) that wasn’t too happy with some of Tuesday’s ballot results.

While taking this pic I was startled by a  woman screaming at me – “did YOU vote against us??!!!“. At first I thought “¿de que hablas y por que me gritas cabrona?”, then I realized she was yelling it at each person as she passed them by in the march.

On a side note: In case some are wondering why I have not posted to the photoblog for awhile – I have been in the midst of moving, or better said, relocating. The big time-consuming challenge has been that I am not just changing houses, or cities, but countries with a move back to the US after spending several years in Mexico. And with my love for warmer climates (or more like overwhelming desire to avoid cold winters), I have chosen to make Southern California my home. More photos soon!!!!

Found in the Museo del Ojo in Garcia, Nuevo Leon. A key part of understanding the cultural history of Mexico is to understand how families relate to loved ones who have passed. Google “day of the dead” (el día de los muertos) to get started. It also plays a key role in artesania.
