On Sunday afternoon we came across these four just hanging out at the top of a mausoleum in downtown Monterrey.

This shot is from a cemetery (Panteón Dolores – which is literally translated as the pain cemetery) in Monterrey. Many of the statues, mausoleums, and tributes to the deceased are breathtaking.

This is the second shot of a friend’s grandmother. You couldn’t ask for a better model. About 50 years ago she once owned one of the first movie theaters in Zacatecas, Mexico

This is another shot from last weekend at a neighborhood park in San Nicolas. It’s one of the few candid pics because the kids spent most of the time posing and shouting “Kevin take another, Kevin take another”. It got me to thinking back to when I was a kid and had to think exactly how I would take the 24 or 36 shots on a roll of film. It’s so cool to be in the digital age now, no?

Last Saturday evening they presented yet another modern dance performance in front of the Museo Metropolitano. I am not sure exactly what was going on here (something about elves sleeping), but I sanpped a few shots while walking by.

From our trip to the park on Saturday afternoon. The temperature hit 40C/104F, but only the adults complained.

This is the second image from the Saturday evening dance performance in the plaza in front of Monterrey’s Metropolitan Museum.
