This shot is from a small piece of the much larger “Fountain of Life” in Monterrey’s Macroplaza.
The top photo is of the statue of General Mariano Escobedo and the lower one is of a piece dedicated to obreros .
Somehow calling La Cola de Caballo by its English translation just doesn’t sound right.
Earlier this year Monterrey installed this statue by the Colombian artist Fernando Botero in the Macroplaza.
After living in Monterrey for 4 years, I finally took my camera to Parque Fundidora. It’s an old steel mill that now serves as a large public park.
