A couple months back we had the chance to get out of San Diego for a week in Maui. This image was taken when we visited Haleakala National Park. Volcanic activity formed most of the terrain and the views from the summit are spectacular. The prickly plants in this image are the Haleakala silversword which can only be found in this park.
