Photojournalism

I went out to take some street photos on Saturday and came across a group (San Diego Union-Tribune reported 7,000 people) that wasn’t too happy with some of Tuesday’s ballot results.

While taking this pic I was startled by a  woman screaming at me – “did YOU vote against us??!!!“. At first I thought “¿de que hablas y por que me gritas cabrona?”, then I realized she was yelling it at each person as she passed them by in the march.

The week summed up in a headline

Signed. Sealed. Delivered.

Dancing elves

Black and white photo of dancers dressed as elves performing in downtown Monterrey

Last Saturday evening they presented yet another modern dance performance in front of the Museo Metropolitano. I am not sure exactly what was going on here (something about elves sleeping), but I sanpped a few shots while walking by.

The Devil Inside

Found object: La Sirena

While walking through downtown Monterrey this morning I found this mermaid on the ground surrounded by a bunch of workers, large vases and mirrors outside of a social club. I have absolutely no idea what type of event they were preparing for. An afternoon wedding reception?

Second shot from the dance performance

This is the second image from the Saturday evening dance performance in the plaza in front of Monterrey’s Metropolitan Museum.

Hot dog stand at night

Next time I’ll bring a tripod for my night photos.
